Conductive tape ET is made of copper and nickel plated fabric through pressure-sensitive adhesive. They have high conductivity in X axis, Y axis and Z axis, as well as favorable adhesive force and electromagnetic shielding performance. The conductive fabric tape of our company has natural color and black color. Besides, we also have the tape meeting the fire protection requirement (containing no halogen) in grey or black.

Application Recommendation

1. The adhesive strength depends on the amount of the adhesive contact area. Applying proper pressure to the adhesive surface can improve the adhesion.For a 25mm (1 inch) wide tape, it's recommended to be rolled twice back and forth with a 2Kgf rubber roller at a speed of 5mm/second. The speed (recommended to be 3-10mm/s) or roller pressure (recommended to be 1-3Kgf) can be adjusted according to different applications. If applicable, the temperature can be raised to 120 ℃ for a couple of seconds for better bonding.Users can apply 10-30psi pressure to the surface for 5-15s. Speed and time should be adjusted according to the application area (dimension) and surface condition. Generally speaking, the higher pressure and the longer duration applied to the application area will enhance the conductivity and adhesive strength.
2. After the tape is applied to the surface, the adhesive strength will be gradually enhanced. If the PSA assembly is kept under the recommended compressing force or load for 24 to 72 hours, bonding performance will be improved.
3. In order to obtain the optimal adhesive strength, the adhesive surface shall be clean, dry, and even. Isopropyl alcohol is a typical surface cleaning solvent recommended for cleaning. Appropriate safety measures shall be taken for handling the solvent.
4. The ideal tape service temperature is 21 ℃~38 ℃. It's not recommended to apply the tape to the surface under 10℃ for the first time, because the adhesive is too rigid to the applying surface, and is uneasy to be pasted stably. However, once it's appropriately bonded, the adhesion strength is also satisfying, even temperature going lower.

Working Temperature

Most Aerobon single-sided and two-sided conductive fabric tapes

offer durable adhesion strength afteryears usage at -40℃ to 80℃.

Their electrical resistance has little change and is still very low. Even

in the hot environment, such as 105 ℃ and even 125 ℃,

some tapes can still maintain designed performance for

weeksand even months.

Shield Life and Storage Conditions

One year from the date of shipping. Material be stored

in a sealed bag in a temperature of 0-40℃.

No specific humidity control requirement.
